CLOSURE OF CARERS UK - IVYBRIDGE BRANCH
At the Extraordinary General Meeting held on 26 September 2006 we were unable to form a Committee and, according to our Constitution, we must therefore close the Branch. Our Head Office is aware of the situation and we are following their instructions to ensure that all the correct procedures are followed.
This of course means that the Branch can no longer run the Tuesday morning Carers Drop-in at Chapel Place Community Centre. However, Ivybridge Community Association will continue to provide teas, coffees and sympathy at Chapel Place every Tuesday morning and this will be available to anyone (including carers). There will always be a carer or former carer present, who will endeavour to keep up-to-date information available and offer support to those people who are providing unpaid care for family and friends, who would not be able to mange without their help.
